Repeat Performers and Newly Released Product Alike, Ride Comes Out on Top!

Seattle, WA (Winter 2010-11) — The results are in and Ride Snowboards has earned its fair share of awards divvied out for the season thus far. The Machete is a winner for the second year in a row, again ranking number one in the Best of Test issued by Snowboarder Magazine. This year the Machete also won Transworld Snowboarding’s Good Wood award for park boards over $400.

The brand new ladies OMG has made a splash placing second in Snowboarders Best of Test and receives Snowboard Magazines Platinum Pick award. Also new to the 1011 Ride Collection, the Highlife has proven it’s worth nailing down a Platinum Pick from Snowboard Magazine and continues to receive rave reviews from testers.

The new and truly revolutionary Optimo Contraband made its debut being honored with Snowboard Magazines Platinum Pick. The Optimo will appear in the October issue of Snowboard Mag as one of the most innovative and well-designed bindings of the year.

Last, but certainly not least, the proven Crush Snowboard was awarded a Transworld Snowboarding Good Wood award for park boards under $400. A favorite to many, this playful twin made its mark for testers, and we have to say, it looks pretty sweet with its bold colors and cold-changing graphics!

Alien Workshop Superthane Wheels and the Anaglyph Series

Got an update from Michael on the new Alien Workshop Superthane Wheels-

We just got in the new Superthane Wheels in for Alien Workshop. These are a special formula of high end urethane guaranteed not to flat spot. Since the urethane is more expensive the cut of the wheels is a more narrow profile to keep the cost down. If anyone can flat spot these I will replace them.

The new Anaglyph series from Alien Workshop! These boards feature a new top veneer that is corrugated with a Hexagon pattern. This gives the top veneer a little more rigidness and looks pretty cool.

I know they showed the wheels off at the Agenda on August 4th and 5th in Huntington Beach (plus the rest of the Fall 2010 line) and some of this season’s line like the 20 year Anniversary Board Series as well as the launch of a new Alien Workshop pro rider, Hexmark board construction is already out, but no Superthane wheels just yet.
