Thank you to all the volunteers that came out to pack the Asbury Park City Council meeting and the over 250 that came out to our Memorial Day rally. We have sent a clear message to the AP City Council and our statewide representatives that we will not allow them to turn the north end beach of Asbury Park into high-end townhomes. Check out the photo from the rally on

One of the last coastal open spaces in Monmouth County is threatened, Asbury's north end beach. The City's Waterfront Redevelopment Area Plan calls for townhomes to be built on that site, partially on Green Acres land. Beach access and ocean views would be grossly altered. The existing parking lot would be significantly diminished. Development also includes destroying the north portion of the boardwalk and creating a low, winding walk that would impose a private feel on this public space.

First off, I want to give a big thank you to all the volunteers that helped make our event filled April rock. Special thanks goes out to Conner O'Brien who stepped up to lead our Manasquan Beach clean-up and Kate C. who organized our "Stoked for Rob Machado" concert at the Stone Pony. Both were awesome events thanks to Chapter volunteers!
